Homes listed with professionally shot photographs sell faster and for a higher price, according to a recent article in realtormag.com.
The statistics are based on an analysis of 22 markets performed by the real estate brokerage, Redfin. Professionally photographed homes priced between $200,000 and $1,000,000 sold for a price range of $3,400 and $11,200 more compared to homes in that price range listed with amateur photos. In fact, the professionally photographed homes in the price range of $400,000 to $499,000 alone sold on average $11,200 more than homes with amateur photos.
In regard to the timeliness of home sales, professionally photographed homes in the $400,000 range sold 21 days faster than homes photographed with point-and-shoot cameras.
